The Gaia Institute reviewed and commented on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for a proposed resort on Belleayre Mountain within Catskill Park. Gaia was retained by the National Resources Defense Council to evaluate stormwater and ecological impacts of the proposed hotels, golf courses, construction, and infrastructure on critical watershed areas and functions that contribute water to the Ashokan Reservoir and the Pepacton Reservoir, both of which are a part of New York City's water supply system.
